Look Beyond Clarity
Good Lord, what happened to my simple life?
I guess slotting myself back into the working world has that effect.
And I have to say, its been a refreshing experience.
Change is good.
So, with a fresh spring in my step I have also embarked on a new adventure with an amazing photographer friend. Tammy’s work is invigorating and crisp and her vision is inspirational.
Together, we are...

freeze a moment (or grape) in time
If only we could. Well, thank goodness for photos and blenders (and ‘soon to be purchased juicers’ ~ thanks Jen! ;)
Actually, Miss 4 and Miss 10 (you’re welcome Dr Seuss) now create the following two recipes without me.
Berry Bomb Blast:
Freshly washed wild blueberries
Organic plain yoghurt
A sprinkle or squirt of our daily favourites (see previous recipe)

Rachel
Me. 34 years ago.
No, wait. This ones even cuter.
I started pouting early.
I grew up in the middle.
I’ve been called many things.
But.
I have nothing to hide.
I am not afraid to love.
I not afraid to live 3,975 miles away from my family.
Because.
I now have my own.
I’m not afraid to be inspired.
I’m not afraid of strength.
I’m not afraid of...
Yes
We’ve all done it.
Stood in line.
Impatiently.
Wept in our own Ground Zero.
And. Tasted our own sweat.
But.
Shut up already.
And, yes I assume that…
You have legs.
Your eyes work.
And you probably made the choice to sweat.
Hate to say this, but.
It’s not all about you.
When you feel like you can’t take it anymore, do you think of him?
When you wish you were someone else, do you...

Pickle Doritoes
I’m going to be completely honest.
I’ve been fighting with the ‘f’ word recently.
fear.
I’ve kind of misplaced my inner strength.
I did think about walking into Walmart in my one piece sock monkey pj’s, head down the chip aisle, open a bag of Pickle Doritoes and just plonk my butt down (in the cart) scoffing them down like a starved elephant.
(i’m...
trip
sometimes we just have to listen.
we may pout and think our way is the only way.
we may trip
and land face down
but its only when we get up and over ourselves
do we realize that we are each unique
and we are stronger than we think.

some interesting gossip
Quick quick! skim this blog and find the juicy bits!
truth is
no one really has the time to read blogs.
or status updates.
unless its about how many friends we have and how popular we are on twitter.
the number of likes we have on our status may actually correlate to how up our own arse we are.
sometimes the truth hurts. yet it takes a brave person to stand up and face the truth. And...

what on earth is a clear day?
if you think a clear day means no rain and blue skies then might i suggest you read to the very end of this blog?
we live in a ‘try it before we buy it’ world.
however, that means we are less likely to trust and more likely to judge.
so.
this is for the brave ones out there who are not afraid to buy before we try.
a clear day is a gift you can give yourself.
its an opportunity...

moving
moving house is like getting a membership to
and in the kerfuffle
we lose things
like
and keys.
we find out a few things about ourselves
like our packing skills were crap.
:)
One thing i did rediscover however,
during a getaway to our favourite beach with my mom
was her incredible zest
for the important things for life, like always being able to
and
and always...

dear Jack
i didn’t vote for you but
truth is i can’t vote in canada yet.
however
i will remember you as the genuine ‘be’ man.
the man who stood up and declared yourself a human being
who professed to all canadians ~ I believe in you
and that to me is worth all the votes in the world.

My friends, love is better than...
laugh
Yes, truly. A laugh can work wonders. A deep belly laugh has the energy to solve disputes and fits of giggles can create cramps to make you forget your troubles.
So, even amid potential chaotic stress as we pack our belongings to the move countdown, I have to say that our experience with our move so far has been pretty hilarious.
So, I’m not hiring myself out to solve all the moving...

Dyson and Spines?
Would you take more care of your spine if it was on your face?
No doubt the Pharmas would leap to create laser vertebral lifts and anti wrinkle arachnoid creams.
James Dyson created the uber vacuum cleaner that had humans ditching the hoover bags for their gleaming ‘I can see all my dirt’ cyclone technology on wheels.
Only a Dyson vacuum cleaner delivers all five:
Patented Root...
rude
really.
we all think others are and we’re not.
you’re looking for a titbit of gossip, right?
well. yes. there may be oodles of beans to spill.
but this crock pot is keeping her lid on.
why?
because nothing irks the judgemental, rude, gossipy, fake and yes needy users amongst us than someone who acts as if nothing has happened.
and.
because we all need to be a bit bold now...

give your kids chips
yes. really.
that statement alone goes to show that there are always at least two sides to every story.
not everyone likes to admit that they made a mistake. its easier to blame someone else.
sadly, its often the kids that take the brunt of bruised egos.
back to the chips.
so. each child wakes up every morning with 20 chips (or tokens, pieces of gold etc) in their pocket.

Laurie
Some moments in life are so worth sharing.
Just.
Because.
Heart giggles can literally uplift our shells and souls.
Meet Laurie.
The beautiful blond holding onto her Sombrero.
Our sand sparkly sandal prints just so happened to share the same beach one day.
Blooms of friendship seeds sprouted.
Even though tides of life tick tock through the miles and time zones.
It...
all you need
is a bathing suit.
Our 4 year old believes its all we really need.
We can learn so much from our little people.
I’d packed Maria’s suitcase for our weekend getaway to the cottage just as any parent would.
Responsibly.
Fast forward to bedtime at the cottage. I opened her suitcase to find no pj’s.
No clothes at all actually.
Just a bathing suit.
And Maria’s Important Stuffs:
Rock...

Scott, Thorin and a Spine called Mine...
A wonderful friend of mine once told me,
“Stop knocking at a door if no one answers.”
Wise words.
I can so often be my biggest critique.
Sure. We’ve all been there. Stood in a doorway looking in on the crowd.
And.
Like it or not.
We just don’t feel right.
We need to feel those moments.
So we can remember that no matter what. Our feet will always fit.

Its not me its you
Its not me its you
By Wolff Woman
Why this blog is not all about me.
Its not about how I can use you.
Where I live.
Or what I do.
Its about being able to BE.
Being real.
Being positive.
Being impeccably inspirational.
We’re not in this for an easy ride to Bitterville.
Quite simply, the true beauty of life is in how we share our gifts with other people.
And. Once we become aware of how...
Grace
I’m not sure how to say this.
So, I will stick with what I know I can do.
Be creative.
And so I will focus on a quality and a gift.
Meet my adorable niece. Grace, age 4.
If you discover you didn’t get the job.
Keep plodding on.
And believe you are still. Amazing.
Grace.
If you read a letter or a text that was about you.
But not for you.
Don’t read between the...

Lord Google and Lady Tweet.
Despite the media bonanza, the opulence of the Royal Wedding today speaks volumes on historical traditions and cultural values of the British Monarchy.
Lord Google and Lady Tweet are working overtime. The Dress alone is undergoing mass reproduction and the Garden Parties glows around Britain are still alight.
Even the editing of the anticipated vows have been under public scrutiny. I was...
